Dear St. Patrick families,
I am happy to announce that a group of parents have come forward to restart our Home and School Association. If you would like to assist this effort in any way, please send a note to the office and we will forward your along name. I do know they will be in need of volunteers for the rigatoni dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 5th.
Our annual fall Open House will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 5th, from 6 to 7:30 PM. We invite you to dine early at the rigatoni dinner (which is being provided by Belleria Pizza) and then come visit the school. Dinner tickets are available in the school office. During the Open House, Mrs. Zaynor will have information available showing that we are in compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act. This will fulfill our obligation to inform parents regarding what is being done in the school. Our internet connection is firewalled and protected against obscene and harmful material. Our computer classes are also instructed on appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and chatrooms, and cyberbullying awareness and response.
The 8th grade left this morning for their overnight trip to Niagara Falls. The weather should be very nice for this annual community building activity that the 8th grade undertakes.
Next Friday is our first official fifty-cent dress down day for all students. A point of reference for the girls – leggings or stretch pants are never permitted to be worn at any time in lieu of pants or shorts. They may be worn under a skirt or a long top that would sufficiently cover the leggings.
Next Friday will also end our candy sale. Money is due at this time. Please get that taken care of so that an accurate accounting of the sale can be completed.
Our Book Fair will take place the week of Oct. 3rd. Information will be sent home next week. The Book Fair will be open during the Open House.
Milk fees are now due. The cost again is $40 for the year. Checks may be made out to St. Patrick school.
Since we are now officially in the fall season, I would remind you to check the dress code to see what is permissible moving into the coming months. The last day for shorts is Oct. 15th..
Have a great weekend. And, as always ….. GO PANTHERS!
