Dear St. Patrick families,
We have some good news to pass on. First Communion for the St. Pat’s second grade will be Saturday, July 11th, at 1:30 PM. Eighth grade Confirmation will be Saturday, July 18th. There will be two ceremonies. Those families will be getting information as to when they will be attending. Our 8th grade graduation will be Saturday, June 27th, at 1 PM. A small reception will follow outside in the church circle afterwards, weather permitting.
Report cards are being mailed out. Some of the report cards will be held back due to tuition issues. If you do not receive a report card in the near future, contact the office for further information.
The school office will be open limited hours until the end of June. If you need to contact the school after that, you may call the rectory, who will then pass on the message.
The construction on the damaged rooms will hopefully begin next week. The plan is that the rooms will be ready when school starts.
Regarding the start of the new school year, we will be working all summer to be prepared for whatever it looks like. Right now it is a very fluid situation. Some school districts are sending out plans now. That could all change in the weeks and months to come. I am sure there will be many rumors out there about what will take place. I will send out our information when it is ready and has been approved by the Diocese.
The traditional Edchoice window will open July 1st, and remain open throughout the school year. At this time students attending either Carlin or Willyard Schools in Ravenna are eligible for Edchoice. There is no word yet as to the Edchoice Expansion window also opening in July. The decision will come from the Ohio Dept. of Education.
I hope everyone has a great summer. We certainly are not out of the woods yet concerning Covid – 19. Hopefully that will be less of an issue in the months and weeks to come. I know that we will come back better than ever and be ready to resume our role of being one of the best schools in Portage County. Take care everyone and God Bless! And, as always ….. GO PANTHERS!
P.S. As a reminder, don’t forget June 30th is the last day to order your year book. Purchase them by clicking here
