Dear St. Patrick families,

I would like to thank the Home and School Association and all of the volunteers who helped make the Ice Cream Social a really fun time. It was great to see how well this was attended.

The Home and School Association is gearing up for another exciting year. If you are interested in becoming a member of this hard working committee, please email Emily Fox at emilysfox@yahoo.com. If you are interested in becoming one of the executive members of this committee, please submit your request to me by Friday, Sept. 7^th. The executive positions will be voted in, and the budget for the upcoming year will be approved at our first all school meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13^th at 6:30 PM in the church basement. Everyone is invited to attend and be a part of this decision- making process.

Our fall candy sale begins today and the candy should be coming home with the students. We appreciate everyone’s efforts in making a successful sale.

School will not be in session on Monday, Sept. 3^rd, as we celebrate Labor Day.

Our opening school Mass will be Thursday, Sept. 6^th, at 8:30 AM. Everyone is invited to worship with us.

The Acme register receipt campaign is now open for the Cash Back program. We receive a check back from Acme based on the total monies received from the register receipts. Please send them in as you finish your shopping at Acme.

We have made it through the second week of school, heat and all! Hopefully September will be a little kinder to us weather-wise. I hope everyone enjoys this three – day weekend with some rest, relaxation and fun. And, as always ….. GO PANTHERS!

This week’s shout out goes to the 3rd and 4^th grade classes for helping the American Heart Association. An alumnus, Lauren Tomala Bauer, has organized a walk/run in honor of her father on Sept. 29^th. She asked our students to paint and decorate over 100 river rocks to line the walk/run path. Over the next few weeks they will be completing the project. Great job 3^rd and 4^th grades for volunteering to make this event beautiful.
