Dear St. Patrick families,

Many thanks to everyone who volunteered this week with the Book Fair and rigatoni dinner. A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Lori Stephan who chaired our fall Book Fair and Mrs. Emily Fox for organizing the rigatoni dinner. Thank you also to everyone who attended our Open House this past week.

School will not be in session on Monday, Oct. 10th. That is a scheduled inservice day for the teachers.

Farm Festival will take place the week of Oct. 17th. Miss Pritts has sent an informational letter home previously.

The last day students may wear uniform shorts is Oct. 15th. Now is a good time to review the dress code to see what is acceptable school wear for the coming months. Please take note regarding hoodies. The only permissible hoodies are those which are St. Patrick hoodies. All others are not permitted to be worn by the students.

As I mentioned last week, I met with a group of moms who are interested in carrying on the work of Mrs. Karen Smith and the Home and School Association. I am pleased to announce our new officers for this year: President – Mrs. Emily Fox, VicePresident – Mrs. Michelle Hardy, Secretary, Mrs. Kimberly Trautman, Co- Treasurers – Mrs. Shannon Leavery and Mrs. Kimberly Zifchak. The first meeting will occur in early November.

Although we certainly welcome parents or family to join their child at lunch, it has become problematic because additional students are invited to join them, usually on the bleachers. I would ask that if you would like to visit for lunch, you are certainly welcome. But, in the future, only your child will be permitted to sit with you. This will eliminate any future behavioral or safety issues. The free milk application has been sent home. Please return it as soon as possible if you would like to apply.

Tuition statements went home on Monday, Oct. 3rd. Monthly tuition payments are due on the 15th. There are still a number of parent/guardians who have not returned the Parent Commitment Form. This is your contract with the school to pay tuition and needs to be on file to be considered in compliance with tuition. Please call the school office if you have any questions. Parents who participate in our gift card program must have a Certificate Purchase Agreement on file in order to satisfy IRS requirements. If you do not have an agreement on file or have any questions, please call the office. Have a great weekend. Here’s hoping the Indians can carry on that championship run just like the Cavs did!
