Dear St. Patrick families,

Next week is Farm Festival Week. Grades K to 4 will be participating in a number of activities that are related to both PE and the farm. This is always a big hit with the students. Miss Pritts has sent home a schedule and parents are welcome to come attend the activities on the day that their child will be participating.

There will be no school on Monday, Oct. 31st. This will be an inservice day for the staff in preparation for our upcoming state accreditation.

Our first Home and School Association meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, at 6 PM. The place will be announced prior to the meeting. Our classroom Halloween parties will take place on Friday, Oct. 28th. Our Halloween parade will begin at 1:15 PM. More information will be coming home. In choosing a costume for your child, I would ask that good taste and decorum be used. Blood, gore, weapons and inappropriate themes should be avoided. If the costume includes a mask, be sure the mask does not impede vision since we will be traveling downtown with our parade.

This year’s St. Jude Math-athon did very well this year. We raised $2,518.00. Thank you to all of our students and families who made this a great success. Our top student was JunHe Nesbella, raising $335.00 and Jaxon Baily, raising $275.00. Today is our last day for uniform shorts. All students should be in regular uniform long pants or skirts or jumpers starting on Monday.

The 6th grade coat drive will begin Monday, Oct. 17th and run through Nov. 11th. Clean and gently worn coats will be accepted. The 6th grade students will pick up the coats in the individual classrooms.
