Dear St. Patrick families,
Today is Veteran’s Day. We honor all of the veterans in our area with the flags that have been planted in the front of the school.
With the change in temperatures, I remind our families that the students should be dressed appropriately for colder weather. Since we are still going outside for recess students should be wearing heavier coats and have gloves. There are still students who are wearing lightweight jackets when it is cold outside.
Please be sure to send in your food donations for our Thanksgiving food drive. We will be donating this year to the Center of Hope. Our drive ends next Friday.
Our Thanksgiving break is scheduled for Nov. 23rd through Nov. 25th. School will resume on Monday, Nov. 28th. Our Christmas program for gr. K to 5 will take place Friday, Dec. 2nd, at 7 PM in the auditorium at Kent Roosevelt High School.
Once again we invite everyone to join the school prayer chain. This chain is a great way to build our school community by praying for the needs of those in our school and their families. If you would like to have requests will be considered confidential and anonymous unless otherwise noted), please email Julie Jalics at juliejalics@catholicexchange.com. Please consider participating. If you participated last year and would again like to this year, please let Mrs. Jalics know.
In an effort to foster the community between our family homes and the school community, the Home and School Association provides a school directory. Parents have found this to be very useful tool to contact families for school purposes. An email will be sent out soon to all families requesting your information for this directory, which is only possible with your input. Please fill in the form attached to the email in a timely manner. The Home and School thanks you.
Have a great weekend. I heard the “s” word for today’s forecast. Let’s hold off until at least Christmas! And, as always ….. GO PANTHERS!
