Dear St. Patrick families,

Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent. Our primary grades will be attending the 9 AM Mass and the middle school will be attending the 12:10 PM Mass. Ash Wednesday is also a day of fast and abstinence. During Lent, we prepare for the death and Resurrection of Jesus. We can best prepare for this through prayer and sacrifice. I’m sure that in your families you all have your special traditions to achieve this goal.

There is a middle school dance this evening from 7 to 9 PM in the church basement. Cost is $5. This dance is for St. Patrick students only.

School will not be in session on Friday, Feb. 16^th, (teacher in-service) and Monday, Feb. 19^th, (Presidents’ Day).

There is a correction for the date of the family ice skating at the Kent State ice rink. The corrected date is Sunday, Feb. 18^th, from 5:10 to 7:10 PM.
