I hope that you are all enjoying the blessings that summer can bring.
Our families just received a blessing through the expansion of the EdChoice program recently passed in the Ohio State Biennium Budget.
Every Ohio student in grades K-12 is now eligible for an EdChoice Scholarship that can be used toward Catholic School tuition beginning with the upcoming 2023- 2024 school year. This will include all currently enrolled children as well as any new student beginning their Catholic School experience this fall.
A full EdChoice Scholarship of $6,165 for elementary and $8,407 for high school is available for any family at or below 450% of the federal poverty level (ex. $135,000 for a family of four). A decreasing pro-rated amount dependent on a family’s economic status over 450% of the poverty level is then available, but the LEAST any child can receive is $650 for an elementary student and $950 for a high school student. The chart on the back will give you an idea as to where your family may fall. It is based on a family’s adjusted gross income (line 11 on tax return).
As soon as information on how to apply is available, families will be notified. As you can imagine, this is going to be a hectic time for all due to the timelines. Please be patient as we navigate the best way to proceed for the good of all. Stay tuned for more information regarding this exciting opportunity. https://doy.org/edchoice/
Sincerely in Christ,
